The Antibes Yacht Show is scheduled for the 12th - 15 April 2012 in Antibes.

Antibes Yacht Show is the only BROKERAGE, CHARTER and REFIT show in spring in the Mediterranean. Over the last 5 years AYS has had exhibitors from 14 different countries and has featured yachts from 15 to 70m. It has reached the position of being a KEY boat show in the yachting industry. Antibes Yacht Show has been hard at work throughout the year to prepare the 2012 show and has some good news to share about the team, the projects and the website, too.

The Ferretti Group was sold to the state-owned parent of China's biggest bulldozer-maker. Creditors will sell 75% of Ferretti for 178 million euros ($228 million) to Shandong Heavy Industry Group-Weichai Group, according to a statement handed to reporters today in Jinan, China. Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc and Strategic Value Partners LLC will also own 12.5% stakes in the Forli, Italy-based boatmaker.

The Paris International Boat Show 2011 is scheduled for the 3rd till the 11th Dec 2011 in Paris at Porte de Versailles.

The Paris International Boat Show is an event that is organised yearly and is attended both by locals and tourist from all over the world. In this boat show there is the opportunity to see products and services relating to the yachting industry from around 1,200 exhibitors and 1,400 brands showcasing their most recent models and gadgets.

These models will be prototypes, with a glimpse of the highly developed technology and innovation of Paris boat manufacturers. There will be around 600 motor boats, 500 sailing boats, and 300 various small crafts this year.

Lagoon is among the world leader in the sailing catamaran cruiser range. The New Sun Odyssey 33i is beachable; that is, it can be taken to the shore. There is a protective shoe attached to the bottom of each of the rudders. The boat sits on the keel wings and the twin rudders.

The drop-keel version is 0.85m with centreboard up and 2.2m with it down. It has a shallow-draught winged keel that is fixed, and the centreboard only adds extra stability and pointing ability, so in many conditions you can sail without any centreboard down at all.

The Bodrum Cup is an annual yacht regatta organized by ERA Bodrum Sailing Club. The main objective is to promote interest and skill in sailing among the captains and crews of Bodrum's charter fleet.

It is also a celebration of the ending of each year's cruising season, a means to bring together in a friendly encounter charter yachts that normally cruise on their own. This is a fun event organized since 1989, held every third week in October.

Wooden yachts will set sail for the 23rd time to win the Bodrum Cup on 18th - 23rd October 2011. Bodrum Cup, one of the biggest naval organizations of Turkey, is one of the few races of the Mediterranean, where yachts sail with passengers on board.

Henri Jeanneau first started by building a wooden hull with which he participated in the 6-hour Paris race, the largest national race at the time. He was first to cross the line, and this stimulated him. In 1959, he hired canoe builders as apprentices in his new business, “the Nautical Hall of the West,” which would become, a few years later, the Jeanneau shipyards.
In 1961, Jeanneau’s first fibreglass powerboat made its debut. It was the Calanque. It retained the wooden deck and featured the lines of a frigate, which made perfect sense because it was molded onto a wooden hull. That same year, a dream became a reality: Jeanneau created the first all-fibreglass boat. This new material, a petrochemical product, created an unprecedented technological advantage.

The 2011 MAPIC will be held from the 16th to the 17th of November at the Palais des Festivals, Cannes, France.

The Antigua Yacht Show 2011 will be held from the 4th to the 10th of December. The show this year has been extended to cover six days and will again take place at the Nelson's Dockyard Marina in English Harbour, the Falmouth Harbour Marina and the Antigua Yacht Club Marina both located in Falmouth Harbour.

Owing to the request from charter brokers and yacht management companies all registered yachts will remain on the dock throughout the first five days of the newly extended show. The additional day, Saturday, will be a designated 'Day Sail', offering management companies an opportunity to invite visiting brokers to experience a 'micro-charter' cruising Antigua's stunning coastal waters and islands aboard a choice of some of the finest charter yachts in the Caribbean.

The 2011 Tax Free World Association Exhibition will be held from the 18th to the 23rs September.

The TFWA World Exhibition is an annual event which is held in September at the Palais des Festivals, Cannes. It was first held in 1984. TFWA is the biggest duty free and travel retail association of the world.

It provides high-quality exhibitions, acclaimed conferences and workshops and in-depth market research to the industry.

The East Coast of the United States, also known as the Eastern Seaboard, refers to the easternmost coastal states in the United States, which touch the Atlantic Ocean and stretch up to Canada.

It  includes the U.S. states of (from north to south): Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Although it does not border the Atlantic coast, Vermont is frequently included. Chartering on the east coast of the USA is the perfect way to spend a summer.

The MIPCOM 2011 will be held from the 3rd to the 6th of October at the Palais de Festival in Cannes. Normally lasting 5 days, it provides a networking forum and showcase for Film and TV production companies. There are 12-13,000 registered delegates each year.

There will be 21 000 m2 exhibition floor area, 12 279 participants, 4 190 buyers, 700 exhibitors, 104 countries and 35+ sessions & keynotes in the 2011 MIPCOM Show. It is a media content related event, essentially for co-producing, buying, selling, financing and distributing entertainment content. It is mainly a TV and entertainment market.

The 2011 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix be held from the 23rd to the 25th of September at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

The Singapore Grand Prix is a motor race, currently in the calendar of the FIA Formula One World Championship. It is currently held in the Marina Bay area of Singapore.

Upon resurrection of the event in 2008, the first race at the Marina Bay location, which was also Formula One's first night race, was won by Spanish driver Fernando Alonso driving for the Renault F1 team.
