Charter Itinerary for the British Virgin Islands

Day 1: Tortola – Norman Island

Board your rented boat in Tortola where your BVI sailing vacation will start. Set sail in the afternoon and the first stop on your BVI sailing itinerary is the Norman Island. On the way, you can also stop off at "The Caves" for a leisurely snorkel in the warm Caribbean waters or sail on for lunch in William Thornton Floating Bar & Restaurant on Norman Island, where prior reservation is recommended. Spend the night on Norman Island.

Day 2: Norman Island – Cooper Island

The next destination is The Indians which provides great snorkeling and scuba diving. Or, you can proceed to Peter Island, where you can set your anchor at Dead Man's Bay. Enjoy a lovely swim or a great lunch on the beach. After lunch, you can go snorkeling where you might spot a sea turtle or two, lazily snacking on the sea grass. Move on to Salt Island where there is a natural salt pond located inland. Salt Island, BVI is home to the Wreck of the Rhone and is a favourite dive site. For the evening, sail to Cooper Island and where you can moor for the night.

Day 3: Cooper Island - Gorda Sound

Sail on to the southern tip of Virgin Gorda, to The Barths. Snorkeling is pretty good at The Baths; there are marvelous Elkhorn coral formations and plenty of nooks and crannies to explore. When sailing to Gorda Sound in the afternoon, you will find several restaurants and beach bars to enjoy.

Day 4: Gorda Sound, Beef Island & Marina Cay

Spend a day in the North Sound, swimming and enjoying the surroundings, snorkeling or scuba diving. In the afternoon, set sail for Trellis Bay, Beef Island or Marina Cay, south east of Great Camanoe and west of Virgin Gorda. Trellis Bay is a protected harbour and home of "The Last Resort" restaurant.

Day 5 - Guana Island - Tortola or Jost Van Dyke

Set sail for the incomparable Monkey Point on Guana Island. Enjoy a leisurely day at the beach, pack a picnic lunch and take advantage of some of the best snorkeling in the BVI. In the afternoon, sail to Cane Garden Bay in Tortola or White Bay in Jost Van Dyke where you can spend the night.

Day 6 - Sandy Spit, Green Cay - Soper's Hole

In the morning, head over to Sandy Cay or Sandy Spit and Green Cay for more great snorkeling and basking in the fabulous BVI sunshine. In the early afternoon sail for Soper's Hole in Tortola. Sailing into Soper's Hole, you will find some interesting places with good food. Spend the evening at Soper’s Hole.

Day 7 – Soper’ Hole - Tortola

This is the end of the BVI sailing vacation. Enjoy a last swim in the BVI waters or go for snorkeling. Then, head back to Tortola, the charter base.
