Turkey Yacht Charter Information
Turkey is a Eurasian country which is located in the southeastern part of Europe and the southwestern part of Asia. It is bordered by the Black Sea between Bulgaria and Georgia and by the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea between
Greece and Syria.
Turkey is renowned for its spectacular coastline which stretches for over 8400 km and the region is dotted with numerous bays and coves. It is a major yacht charter destination in the area. The Turkish coastline and its waters are also known as the Turkish Riviera or the Turquoise Coast due to the stretch of land which spans from 1000km its southwestern part along the Aegean and the
Mediterranean Sea.
During a visit in the area, you will have the occasion to explore the Aegean coast of Turkey which contains some fine archeological sites, beautiful beaches, some great scenery and numerous towns that are worth seeing. You can also visit the Mausoleum of Mausollos in Harcarnassus and the Temple of Artemis in Ephesus.
Bodrum is a scenic town where you can visit the town center which is famous due to the Castle of Saint Peter.
In the southern part of Turkey, you can visit Anatolia where you will see numerous first class archeological sites and the town of
Anatalya is also quite interesting with its Archaeological museum which is considered as the finest in the country.
In Cappadocia in the eastern part of Turkey, you will have the chance to see various pictures of the mystical, rock chimney dwellings and man-made cave homes.
There are also numerous towns, villages and settlements along the coast in Bodrum,
Fethiye, Göcek,
Cesme and Marmaris.
Istanbul, the biggest city in Turkey is dotted with numerous mosques and minarets and the most famous is the Ayasofva which was the greatest Christian Cathedral of the Middle Ages, now it is a mosque and a museum.

Marmaris are considered to be the most popular. However, there are also some fine marinas in Park Kemer,
Gocek, Bodrum and Atakoy.
The region is also dotted with numerous pretty little harbors like
Kalkan. The best time to charter a yacht in Turkey is during the summer months when there are practically no strong winds and the water is calmer.
