The Jeanneau 38S Prestige not only makes a fashionable statement and is known to be the the haute couture of motor yacht cruisers. The Prestige 38 is the perfect yacht to charter for those who wish to cruise in and around destinations such as Cannes, Nice, Villefranche-Sur-Mer and Theoule-Sur-Mer in the French Riviera.

The Prestige 38S hosts a generous list of extras and tender including a garage for your tender, a sunroof, outdoor entertaining stations with chaise lounges and an entertainment system with Ipod drive.

The Prestige 38S is definitely one of the most striking works by the Jeanneau Prestiges team. The Prestige 38S motor yacht performs with great ergonomics and utility. Vision remains intact while driving under the hardtop at protected helm stations. Press a button and the anchor is down. After which this boat offers considerable static appeal.

With twin class cabins and twin heads, the boats deserve more than just a day of outdoor entertaining. Their 320 L water capacities will last four days of generous consumption and with tenders at the ready in their garages, reprovisioning or dining ashore has never been easier.

The Prestige 38S has a huge in-transom wet locker for carrying your masks and snorkels, while the door for the central garage lifts at the press of a button. There is room to carry a 2.4m soft-bottom ducky, plus fishing gear, inflatable water toys and more inside.

An accommodating walkway to port leads into the cockpit, where there is a huge aft sunpad for four atop the aforesaid tender garage. There is a seating option, too, with a bigger U-shaped lounge set around an aft dinette instead of the sunpad. And with this optional layout you get a smaller garage for taking a 2m ducky, whose outboard is carried on a transverse outboard bracket.

If entertaining is your thing, then its superior layout  seats eight people back in the cockpit where you can enjoy cocktails or a dinner. There is also a Euro-style awning overhead for shade from the midday sun.

As you are under the hardtop, you get shade, big picture windows frame the views, and there is a belt-driven electric sunroof for at-call ventilation or spotting shooting stars at night.

Twin adult-length single bunks are a feature in the aft cabin of the 38S, as are oversized picture windows, a settee and hanging locker. It is still a great guest cabin and with a cabin door you get excellent privacy when sleeping aboard. Further, the dinettes on both boats double as impromptu berths, thereby boosting accommodating to 4+2 should you need it.

On the 38S, low-speed cruise of 16kts was clocked at 2500rpm, cruise of 26kts came in at just 3000rpm and, should conditions allow, the boat slots into a nice high-speed cruise of 30kts at 3500rpm.

Itineraries:

Seven Day Charter South of France

Day 1 - Cruise to Cannes from St Laurent du Var

Embark onboard the Yacht at St Laurent du Var which is a 5 minute taxi ride from the Nice Airport.

From there, you can have a short cruise to Cannes.

Enjoy a nice dinner in a restaurant on the Croisette in Cannes such as Carlton or Martinez.

Or in the old town on Rue St Antoine.

Spend the first night on board the yacht in the Port of Cannes.

Wake up to see the sun glistening on the famous le Suquet hill overlooking Cannes.

Day 2 - Cannes to St Tropez

Have your breakfast on deck in the Port of Cannes. Depart the Port of Cannes at lunch time.

Anchor in the Bay of Cannes for late lunch. Afternoon water activities looking onto the famous Croisette

Lift anchor late afternoon for a sunset cruise to St. Tropez (about 1 hour).

Spend the night in the Port of St. Tropez, where you can have dinner and explore the romantic village.

You can finish the night with a visit to the Cave du Roi nightclub.

Day 3 - St Tropez and Pampelonne Beach

Enjoy breakfast in the port of St. Tropez.

After breakfast, you can go ashore to visit the quaint village and the beautiful boutiques.

Depart the Port by early afternoon for lunch on the famous Pampelone beach with the well-known Club 55.

However, reservations have to be made well beforehand specially during the high season.

Return to St. Tropez port for another evening on the town.

Day 4 - Port Cros Island

Breakfast in the port of St. Tropez.

Depart the Port for the Iles de Port Cros, towards Marseille.

Anchor in the bay at Port Cros Nature Reserve and visit the island.

Return to your yacht for dinner at anchor.

Remain at anchor for a restful night between the Islands.

Day 5 - Porquerolles Island and Cruise to Villefranche

Wake up at anchor and have breakfast on board.

After breakfast cruise to Iles de Porquerolles, a beautiful and nearly undeveloped island.

Visit the Island and hire bicycles to cycle around since no cars are allowed on the island.
After lunch, you can go swimming and water skiing or jet skiing.
Lift anchor in the late afternoon and cruise to beautiful Villefranche bay.
You can dine in the port of Villefranche, or perhaps get a table at the renowned Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat.
Spend the night on board in Villefranche.

Day 6 - St Jean Cap Ferrat, Nice and Lerin Islands

Have breakfast on the deck and enjoy swimming & waterskiing or jet skiing.

Cruise around St Jean Cap Ferrat while having lunch on the yacht deck.

Then past Nice, and the famous Promenade des Anglais.

Anchor off between the Lerin Islands of Cannes, where you can swim for the afternoon.

Remain at anchor for the night and enjoy a nice and quiet dinner on board.

Day 7 - Disembark in Cannes

Have your breakfast on the aft deck.

You can also enjoy some last minute swimming.

Head back to Cannes for disembarkation.
