There is the QBE Phang Nga Bay regatta; held in January. It is a 4 day yacht racing with various parties held in different locations each night; often in remote pristine environments and the sailors sleep aboard their yachts.
The Koh Samui regatta held in May is also popular. In July, there is the Phuket Race week which is one of the regions premier yachting events.
And finally, there is the Phuket Kings Cup Regatta which is the jewel in the crown of the Omega Asian Yachting Circuit held yearly during the first week of December. With a fleet of more than 100 yachts, the action on the water is matched by the fun social schedule back on land.
