Cartagena is a Mediterranean town and a naval station which lies in the region of Murcia in Spain. It is located on the Costa Calida in the southeast of Spain, to the South of Murcia, Torrevieja, Orihuela, Alicante and Elche.

Some of the most popular beaches near the port area include the Isla Plana, the Cala Del Pino and the Isla Menores. You will also find some more secluded beaches in Cala Cortina and Calblanque.
