Andratx is best known as the Port d’Andratx, a beautiful town surrounded by mountain scenery and a stylish marina, Marina Andratx, renowned world-wide for its numerous luxury yachts which moor there.
The commercial port which lies in the heart of the town is home to many fishing boats. Only a couple of kilometers from the port, there is the town of Andratx where you will see the famous 13th century church of Santa Maria d’Andratx which is worth-visiting.
The beautiful Paseo de Son Mos castle is also an interesting place to visit when you are in the area.
The Marina Andratx is also well-known among the visitors for its excellent scuba diving opportunities and numerous sailing excursions to visit the surrounding areas.
Sailing to the West, you will find the beautiful town of S’Arraco, Sant Elm which is famous for its numerous terrace restaurants overlooking the bay.
During a visit to the town of Andratx, you will have the opportunity to visit the famous fortified towers that were formerly used to repel the pirates and also the castle of Son Mas that was built at the same time and now hosts numerous paintings by Durer and Tintoretto.
The upper part of the town of Andratx is characterized by its cobbled streets and also the church of Santa Maria which is particularly charming and from there, you will have a panoramic view of the beautiful Port d’Andratx.
You can also enjoy different vibes at one of the numerous terrace and cocktail bars or enjoy one of the various traditional Mallorca dishes in one of the restaurants nearby.
As the coastline of Andratx is best explored by the sea and yacht charterers will be amazed by the various sheltered coves and secrets caves that can found along their sailing routes.
There are also some great beaches worth exploring like the beautiful Es Carregador beach, the Es Geperut (the beach of Sant Elm) which is the largest and the most popular beach in the area stretching over 125m long and 30m wide of fine white sand and also there is also the unspoiled beach of Cala Egos which is worth visiting.
