Etrusca Marina

Etrusca Marina (La Marina Discarlino) is a small marina located in the village of Puntone on the bay of Follonica which is dominated on its northern side by the town of Piombino in the region of Tuscany, Italy. It is considered as one of the most important and modern ports in the region.

Etrusca marina is a major yacht charter destination in the area and is considered for most yachtsmen as an ideal starting point to discover the Tuscan coast.

It occupies a privileged position on the Follonica Bay and is near at hand to the entire Tuscan archipelago, some of the islands of Elba archipelago like Giglio or Capraia and further destinations like Argentario and also Corsica and Sardinia.

The Etrusca marina offers more than 564 berths for yachts having a maximum length of 40m long and is well-appreciated due to the quality of the services offered. The entrance to Etrusca Marina points to the North, near the canal that head inland to the East.

It hosts 2 breakwaters: a big circular one which covers the entire western side of the marina and the other one, smaller and triangular-shaped lying on the northeastern side.

During a visit at Etrusca Marina, you will have the opportunity to visit the whole region which is renowned for its agro-touristic potentials which can be found in the various services and activities offered like golf courses, restaurants, wine bars and numerous water sports facilities.

It is also a great region to start your exploration of the Tuscan coast and there are plenty of opportunities to discover each place full of history, with the rustic charm of Tuscany along its rolling hills and endless vineyards and orchards.

You can also visit the town of Puntone which lies in the South of Follonica and near the medieval hill town of Scarlino.

You will have the opportunity to explore the Il Castello di Scarlino (the castle of Scarlino) which is one of Maremma’s most imposing Middle Ages castles. The castle sits on a ridge of a hill covered with the Mediterranean macchiaand lies near a medieval village clung to the hillside below.

From the castle, you will get some spectacular panoramic views of the entire coastline and the Mediterranean Sea.
