The numerous villages of the verdant island of Kefalonia are all very picturesque and attractive. Many of them are located in the vast mountainous area of the island while some others can be found on its impressive coastline.

Assos is a small and traditional village offering a charming atmosphere which is created by the hospitality of its inhabitants, the traditional architecture, the narrow alleys and the excellent little taverns perched on the quayside that overlook the bay are some of the villages perks’.
The wonderful beaches of Kefalonia are famous for their extreme and unspoiled natural beauty. They all have fine golden or white sand and magnificent emerald waters.
Some of those beaches are large, fully organised while others are coil up in picturesque little bays and are empty of every kind of facilities, Myrtos, Lourdas, Skala, Xi, Megas Lakos, Antisamos are just some of the beaches to mention. Its beaches are perfect for yacht charters to put foot on land for some time and enjoy the sun and a swim.
Most of the lively nightlife of Kefalonia is concentrated around the capital of the island, Argostoli and in the modern bars and huge night clubs of the main settlement such as Fiscardo, Lixouri, Skala, Poros and Sami. All those places in Kefalonia offer a wide variety of music and drinks and are open until late in the morning.
Kefolonia is rich with culture and there are many festivals held throughout the year. One of the most attended festivals is the celebration of Agios Gerassimos.
Fiscardo is one of the prettiest villages in Kefalonia. Surrounded by beautiful greenery, the centre of activities in Fiscardo is the port, where fishing boats and yachts moor in summer. This is a picturesque village on the northern side of Kefalonia. It is situated on an peninsula with a castle overlooking the delightful bay.
Poros is another picturesque village and one of the main ports of Kefalonia. This is where the ferries from Killini Peloponnese arrive.
Skala is a lovely tourist resort on the south eastern side of the island. It has a large port and many beautiful beaches around.
