Port Leucate is a city which lies in the Aude department in the Languedoc Roussillon region in the South of France. It is nestled between Perpignan and Narbonne where the mountains meet the Mediterranean Sea.

There has been a very fragile incentive to protect the area and it has been designated as a site of ZNIEFF (Fauna Natural Area of Interest and Flora).
