Rijeka is the seaside town located on the Kvarner Bay, an inlet on the Adriatic Sea. It is the main seaport of Croatia and also the 3rd biggest place in the country.
Rijeka enjoys a perfect location on the Adriatic Sea and its town is surrounded by the mountains of Gorski Kotar (a popular resort area in Croatia) to the North and by the beautiful Kvarner bay to the South.
In the town center, you will see the Korzo (a pedestrian mall), a beautiful tree-line promenade along the harbor and the famous and imposing hilltop fortress of Trsat.
Rijeka is also renowned for hosting some of the best bar-clubs in the area making it even more interesting to visit by night than by day.
