Piskera (Jadra) is an islet which forms part of the Kornati archipelago in Croatia. It is located along the southwestern coast of the island of Konat and in the southeast, it is separated from the islet of Lavsa by a narrow strait.
Piskera Island is also part of the Kornati National Park which can be entered by yacht from the North, through the Proversa Mala and Proversa Vela passage or from the South between the Cape Opat and Smokvica Island.
It is a renowned yacht charter destination in the area and its marina, the Piskera ACI Marina lies on the bay, well-protected by 3 islets.
It is a modern and well-equipped marina which can accommodate up to 120 yachts having a maximum length of 30 m and is opened from March till mid October every year.
On the island of Zut, which lies outside the boundaries of the Kornati National Park, you will come across the Zut ACI Marina which offers about 120 more berths. The island of Piskera is dotted with many small villages like Preko, the main village where there is a ferry port and the Piskera ACI Marina lies.
Jaz Bay is particularly noted for its fine sand where rises the idyllic islet of Skoljie which is characterized by its many pines and palms. You can also sail to the island of Oskljak where you will find numerous cypresses and a picturesque village of fishermen and sailors.
The tourist village of Kukljica is also worth visiting, it boasts some very handsome beaches that stretch on both coasts of the island of Piskera.
In the magnificent sea, you will see numerous coves that provide safe shelter for boats and the National Park is within easy reach.
All the islands are dotted with numerous cavities, caves, gullies, crevices and represent a natural habitat for a large number of rare bird species.
The islands are a unique pleasure to all those who are keen on bathing in the crystal-clear sea and appreciate the peace and quietness and feel enthusiastic about the eco-tourism without any modern facilities.
