The village of Nerezine is situated at the foot of the hill of Osorscica and is renowned for its long tradition of seafaring and shipbuilding and today it still makes wooden boats.
Nerezine attracts many visitors every year who come in the area to visit its 3 most popular attractions: The old castle, The Franciscan Monastery and The beautiful church which was built in the 15th century by the famous patrician, Colane Drasa.
Today, it is a popular tourist destination mainly because of the hill of Osorscica with the highest peak of Televrin rising up to 558m high.
Nezerine is also a renowned yacht charter destination and due to its long tradition of shipbuilding, there is a new marina which also contributes to enrich the tourist offers of the village.
The Marina Nezerine is a well-sheltered marina, protected from the Bora by a high breakwater and offers about 100 berths for yachts measuring up to 30m long. It is also within easy distance to other interesting marinas in the area like Marina Mali Losinj, Marina Senj and ACI Marina Cres.
Nerezine has kept the charm of an urban centre placed between its protected marina and the main square which is an idyllic place to visit. You will find numerous lush gardens, grasslands and olive groves which spread between the houses and on the edge of the village.
