The 34th Cannes International Boat & Yacht Show scheduled from the 6th -11th September 2011.
There will be more than 500 boats on display, form 400 exhibitors participating from 24 countries both on land and in water, out of which 160 will be shown for the first time. This will be held on the French Riviera at the Vieux Port and Port Pierre Canto, located at either end of the famous Croisette in Cannes, which is the perfect place to host Europe’s leading in-water boat show.
The event provides an exclusive opportunity to preview the finest products of the yachting world. Supported by all the major boat yards, manufacturers and brand names from the nautical world, this is a fantastic event for interested buyers and boating enthusiasts. There is a whole range of boats on display ranging from smaller boats for the leisure market to glittering luxury cruisers coming complete with the latest gadgets. The Cannes International Boat & Yacht Show will have a significantly increased number of large sailing boats and catamarans on display.
The Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes brings together the key players involve in either pleasure boating or international luxury yachting. There will be exhibitors showcasing their new vessels, products and services or visitors, either yacht owners or future buyers, who will be enthusiastic and eager to take advantage of a unique opportunity offered by this show; the sea trials. They will be able to enjoy the unique experience of taking the helm of a magnificent luxurious yacht, experiencing the sensation of sailing, before making the actual purchase. The 2011 Cannes International Boat & Yacht Show will feature 500 boats displayed in water and on land at the 2 sites, 400 exhibitors, 460 new boats and 160 vessels on show for the first time.
The targeted visitors includes: exporters, importers, manufacturers of canoeing, sailing, boating equipments & other related professionals & general public. The exhibitors will include the boat builders and importers of sailing and motor boats, inflatables, various crafts, motors, chandlers, electronics, brokers, banks and loan companies, insurance, rental, publishing, press, federations and associations, sailing wear and miscellaneous service.
There will be more than 470 new boats on display in water in the Vieux Port. There will be the opportunity to see the finest new models from the leading international shipyards in a magnificent setting. The quality and density of the show stands out on the water through the mixed offer of motorboats and sailing boats 10 to 50 metres long and on land by the presence of many exhibitors dedicated to services and equipment for increasingly sophisticated boat.
In water, there will be 470 new boats including 140 new models, which will include the following:
• 91 boats from 10-12 metres
• 102 boats from 12-15 metres
• 80 boats from 15-18 metres
• 58 boats from 18-22 metres
• 40 boats from 22-25 metres
• 30 boats from 25-30 metres
• 16 boats from 30-35 metres
• 16 units of 35 metres
• 37 Multihulls of 11 – 26 metres
On land, there will be 200 boats under 10 metres and stands showcasing products from shipyards, part manufacturers, services, press, institutions and so on.
Port Pierre Canto
There will be the finest yachts on display in Port Pierre Canto, offering an enthralling scene.
In water, there will be 30 used boats, ranging from 22 to 50 metres, which will include the following:
• 4 boats from 22 to 25 metres
• 17 boats from 25 to 30 metres
• 9 boats from 30 to 35 metres
• 7 boats from 35 to 40 metres
• 1 boats from 40 to 45 metres
• 2 boats from 45 to 50 metres
On land, there will be stands from brokerage, charter, Parts Manufacturers, refitting yards, luxury tenders and Ship”s boats and Service companies such as financing, insurance, press, institutions.
There will be 68 exhibitors in different sectors such as Interior installations: audio, video and home automation, furniture, tableware, textiles, kitchens, bathrooms, decoration accessories, fitness, Architects and designers, Luxury yacht builders, Equipment and technologies, Service companies: financing, insurances, press, institutions, Luxury yacht tenders and ship”s boats and Tourism and marinas.
In this years” show, there will be a new exhibition area for inflatable craft, which will be set up between the swing bridge and Quai Max Laubeuf. This area will be exclusively dedicated to all forms of inflatable craft and rigid-inflatable boats (RIB).
There will be also a multihull section, which will be an event not to be missed for all those who love cruising multihulls, both sail and motor. This year again, the Multihull Section will be set up right in the heart of the Vieux Port, along the central pontoon, accessible from either the Pantiéro esplanade or the Quai Saint-Pierre footbridge; a unique area accommodating a very wide range of sail and motor vessels from 8 to 36 metres.
All types of yachts; be it sail or motor, will be exhibited in water or on land, in the sun or in a fully air-conditioned hall. The Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes offers a unique exhibition space.
